For mobile devices a low power consumption is often more important than maximal performance. One of the three new Celeron processors even requires 10 watt only.

The new Celeron processors T1600 and T1700 have two cores and are running at 1.66 respectively 1.83 GHz. The FSB clock is set to 166 MHz and the L2 cache is 1 MiByte big. The TDP of the 65 nanometer Celerons is 35 watt. Intel wants to have 80 US-Dollars per unit for the T1600 and additional six Dollars for the T1700 if more than 1000 CPUs are bought.
Even more power efficient is the Celeron 723, the TDP of which is only 10 wattsays. Nevertheless the CPU has two cores. The 45 nanometers processor is clocked to 1.2 GHz and has 1 MiByte cache. The FSB connection runs at 200 MHz and the VID is between 1.05 and 1.15 volt. Further information can be found in Intel documents about the Celeron T1600/1700 and Celeron 723.
