According to notebook vendors,AMD plans to officially launch second-gen ultra thin notebook platform codenamed Congo in late October or early November.
In fact,AMD was supposed to release new platform back July.However,ultra thin notebook market is not satisfying.So it is delayed three months with the arrival of Windows 7.AMD has said three will ten OEM manufacturers to release 20 products.
New platform based on M780G chipset,comes with Radeon HD3200.Processors include Tegra Neo X2 L625、Athlon Neo X2 L335/325 as well as single coreAthlon Neo MV-40,etc.
After Yukon,Congo,AMD will gradually release Nile,Brazos designed for ultra thin field.
In addition,mainstream notebook platform,Tigris will make a debut after Windows7.The new platform features 45nm processors,including Sempron M100、Athlon II M300、Turion II M500、Turion II Ultra M600 series.
With the upgrade of Congo,Tigris,AMD VISION brand will show up.
